Radha-Krishna are considered a symbol of eternal love. The whole world knows Radha Ji as the famous friend and devotee of Shri Krishna. According to Padma Purana, Radha Ji was the daughter of a cowherd named Kirti and Vrishbhanu who found Radha Ji as a land girl while clearing the land for the yagya.
According to some legends, while taking the incarnation of Krishna, Lord Vishnu asked all the gods of his family to incarnate on earth, so his wifre Goddess Lakshmi also came to earth in the form of Radha.
The presiding deity and devotee of Shri Krishna’s soul
It is stated in Shrimad Bhagwat, the worship of Shri Krishna is incomplete without the worship of Shri Radha Rani. Radha Ji is the supreme beloved of Shri Krishna, the presiding deity of life and his inseparable form. Out of the two forms of Shri Krishna, Chaturbhuj lives with Goddess Lakshmi in Vaikunth, but in the two-armed form he lives with Radha Ji in Golok. Radha Ji’s name is taken even before Shri Krishna. Shri Krishna is pleased with the chanting of Radha’s name and shows mercy to the devotees. For this, you can also download Radha Krishna photo, wallpapers, quotes and send them to your loved ones through messages or social media.
Unity and separation of Radha-Krishna
According to various scriptures and stories, Radha Ji is considered as a lover, friend and wife of Shri Krishna. Once Lalita Gopi had described the relationship of Radha Rani and Shri Krishna as Priyatama and Priyatam. Then Radha Ji said, there is no difference between us. The intense desire to be unite grinds us and makes us one. The depth of love makes Radha into Krishna and Krishna into Radha. Therefore, there is constant unity and constant separation. Radha broke all social bonds for the love of Shri Krishna. Her love increased even more in the absence of Krishna.
Radha-Krishna are an integral part
Radha ji is an integral part of Shri Krishna. The love of Radha-Krishna was so deep that if one of them was in pain, the other would feel the pain. According to a story, Radha-Krishna were reunited in Kurukshetra during the occasion of solar eclipse. Radha Ji, other residents of Vrindavan, Shri Krishna along with Rukmini and other queens reached Kurukshetra, where Rukmini ji welcomed Radha ji. While massaging Shri Krishna’s feet during rest, Rukmini Ji noticed blisters on his feet. After a lot of requests, Shri Krishna told her that his lotus feet reside in the heart of Radha. Rukmini ji had given very hot milk to Radha Rani and that’s why his feet got blisters.
Radha’s love for Shri Krishna was selfless and she was always ready to make any sacrifice for him. Once Shri Krishna pretended to be sick. All the doctors and hakims were engaged in his treatment but Shri Krishna’s illness did not get cured. When asked by the doctors, Shri Krishna replied that only the dust of the feet of my beloved can cure my illness. Rukmini and other queens refused to become a part of the sin of giving the dust of feet to their beloved. Finally, when this matter came to Radha Rani’s notice, she gave her dust of feet saying that even if I have to suffer the sin of 100 hells, I will definitely give the dust of my feet for the health of my beloved.
